Patty’s a biologist, a geneticist, a microbial ecologist. She worked on the human genome project, then switched gears to study fossil fuel disasters. Sometimes she teaches. You can find her at the library.
Since 2017, Patty’s taken to writing stories about climate science with an approach that’s been compared to Crichton and Herbert: real science in the storyline and contemporary issues forming the conflict.
